Hello all!
It’s been a couple of days since I’ve returned from Sin City…and boy do I miss it! There was so much to do and so much to see. Now that I’m back home where the weather totally screams “Canada”, I do contemplate how nice it would be in a place that’s warm and sunny all the time. Mmmmmm….sunshine.
In any event, school is going well. I am really enjoying my time at BCIT. It can be challenging at times, but learning about professional 3d software can take time to learn! (Especially if your previous computer knowledge is just knowing how to log into your hotmail account…oh yeah, that’s me!)
Right now I am working on my Marine/Terrorist animation project. It is going well. I really need to however stop going all out and going above and beyond what the assignment asks…because now I have about 300 frames of extra animation that I really don’t need but I put in anyways because I guess i’m special.
Oh! I can’t wait for Wednesday night because that is when BCIT is having their industry night. YAY! It will be good to see all the different demo reels done by previous students. Ahhhh yes demo reel time…that’s coming up soon…get ready for 4 months of sleepless nights and lots of caffeine.
Oh goodness how I would love to crawl into my bed and sleep for a few hours now. I don’t think I’ve been sleeping very well these past….2 or so years. Sometimes I wish I was 1 again. I just slept all day and got fed really horrible food. Honestly right now I wouldn’t mind being fed canned baby grub if it meant I could go into hibernation.
Do you all remember “The Land Before Time”? That was such a fabulous movie. Steven Spielberg and Don Bluth worked on that film together…I think John Williams did the soundtrack. Man, everytime Spielberg and Williams do a film together…it’s awesome! Whenver Don Bluth makes a film I end up crying my eyes out. Eg “All Dogs Go to Heaven” and “The Secret Of Nimh” … BOTH A DON BLUTH CONCOCTION!! I remember I bought the soundtracks to ADGTH and TLBT, (P.S. I’m in love with abbreviations) and so many nights I would listen to them and cry myself to sleep. Why would I do such a thing? Well geeeez who hasn’t cried at least once when they listened to the Titanic soundtrack?? And we all know that soundtracks “…are the glue of the world. Without them…life would be meaningless.” (1)
1. Taken from the genius mouth of the fun loving hippie character in the film “Empire Records”.
Yes it’s true!
The New Kids on the Block are back in the house. They are ready to rock the socks of 2 million girls once again and I, being one of those 2 million girls, am very very excited.

Man…they still look smoking after all this time! It’s been 20 years since they released their huge hit “Hangin’ Tough” So crazy! How time files…
Well now I shall proceed with my much ado about 3d-ness!
Actually that’s incorrect, there is much much ado about the 3d world. I am very excited to see the new Jack Black movie “Kung Fu Panda.” That’s so awesome Jack Black is the voice of this panda! The panda kinda even looks like Jack Black…I’m not saying Jack looks like an overly fluffy black and white teddy bear…but he certainly shares similar cute n cuddly qualities.
Mmmmm let’s see , what’s the last movie I saw at the theatre…ahhh I was in fact another Jack Black movie. (I guess I kind like Jack Black! Or maybe I just like saying his name…Jack Black, Jack Black, Jack Black.) Hahaha, anyways it was called “Be Kind, Rewind”. Very good movie I must say. I certainly encourage people to see this film if they’ve enjoyed watching “Ghostbusters” “The Lion King” and “Robocop”. What do all those movies all have to do with “Be Kind, Rewind”? Well, you will just have to go and see the movie to find out now wontcha? …
Ok, once again I’ve gone off topic from discussing the 3d world. I find this interesting. Either I’m quite scatter-brained or I have an obsession for movies and anything that’s Britney Spears related. I think I’m actually a bit from column A and column B. Maybe I should work on creating a column C and name it “Jenni takes a breather from Hollywood.” Hahaha, speaking of Hollywood, I remember one time my friend and I were discussing how cool it would be if one day she married a guy with the last name “Wood” (…my friend’s name is Holly by the way…) and then her name would be Holly Wood! Ahhhhh fun fun fun.
Now I shall go forth and quench my thirst with some good ol OJ. (not the one that knows Johnny Cochrane)…and leave with you two pic’s…one is shiny with pretty metals and the other is just pretty.

The beginnings of Jenni’s junkyard!

the daily hunk…
if I could meet these people i would tell them….

…you are the queen of bitter break-up- rock n roll honey!

…you have an amazing voice and your music brings so much joy!

…you have INCREDIBLE ABS GIRLFRIEND!

…guess who’s bizzak??

… you are not a stupid girl.

…if you guys have a reunion soon, i’ll come see you!!

…i think I’ve listened to your song “Release” about 10,000 times.

…the digital bath always makes me shiver!!

…you are still the king of rap music.

…you are still the most charismatic poet.

…you are an excellent lyricist.

…well…maybe I’ll tell you in secret.

So Britney Spears is coming back to TV! I’m so happy!
Seriously, when she first came out back in 99, I really hated her. I would always make these wise cracks about her and diss her off to my friends because it totally wasn’t cool to like Britney Spears. But secretly, I loved her. She had the career that I always had dreamed off, getting up on stage and singing and dancing in front of thousands of people. She was like an my idol! When my mom and my friends started to see me by her albums I would always say it’s because I like to make fun of her when I listened to her. (Then why spend money on somebody you want to make fun of? Why not just burn a copy for yourself? DUH!) Nooooo…i wasn’t making fun of her.
!!! I WAS DANCING AND SINGING TO HER ALBUMS ALL THE TIME!!!!
Now I openly admit that she is someone I certainly adore and hope that she gets better soon. She will always be # 1 in my
heart!

No joking I have the exact same wig….awwww look at that puppy!
Hey hey hey!
I have recently discovered that I may possibly have temporarily misplaced some of my Term 1 Files and now they are somewhere floating in cyber-world….so I thought I’d do the next best thing and show some pic’s of people and movies that I really like! Man, it would be so cool to land a job one of these days modeling celebrities or dinosaurs
I was so totally a raptor in my previous life….
First we have Foxfire, a lovely movie featuring the lip-tackulous Angelina Jolie- Pre- Brad Pitt. Excellent film. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys kicking some tush!

ET- everytime i watch this film I cry! But I always am curious about the m n’ m’s ET brings to Elliot…they look tasty. OH! also, the scene in the cornfield is always terrifying no matter how many times i’ve seen this film.

Can’t Hardly Wait- Such a cute movie and Ethan Embry totally reminds me of all the guys I used to crush on in highschool!

Face/Off. Man, this movie was intense…i think I watch it about 30 times in the 2 month period. I was hooked. Plus me and Nic Cage are like so tight! I write to him….he writes me back with a signed pic….oh yeah, we’re like pea’s n carrots.

Jurrasic Park- RAORRRRRR! That pretty much just sums up this whole film.

Donnie Darko- AHhhhhh….the sexiest, yet most disturbed “superhero” .

Empire Records- HAWT movie!!! GO WATCH THIS MOVIE! EVEN IF YOU’VE SEEN IT ONCE, GO SEE IT AGAIN!!! (then shave your head.)

Finally…
DUM DUM DUMMMM…
TERMINATOR 2 JUDGMENT DAY: Everytime i’m in the gym I throw on some T2 soundtrack and pretend i’m a robot workin’ out so I can be cool like the Governator!
PS- this pic is sooooo 90’s i love it so much.

Good afternoon all,
Ahhhh what a nice day. I am currently sitting in a compact studying room at SFU Vancouver. It’s very nice and relaxing…almost a little too relaxing. I think I’m only staying awake due to the excessive amount of caffeine that’s running through my veins. Last night I was having this crazy movie marathon where I just watched back to back to back to back films and now i’m so sleepy.
Well, aside all the sleepiness, I am actually having a ball researching all these animation and graphics companies that I would like to work for. One company in particular really stands out. It’s called Rainmaker Vancouver. This company specializes in special effects for big Hollywood films. I think they helped work on Night at the Museum, as well as a few other biggies. YAY for Hollywood North. Anyways, I am so totally excited about this company because for the longest time I have wanted to work for a company that helps produce big flicks! Ahhhh dreams of working on a Jurrassic Park 6 or a Terminator 5….man that would be awesome. So I certainly would be very interested in applying for Rainmaker once I graduate.
Another company that sounds good is a place called Studio B. They are 2D I think. They also do lot’s of community events and volunteer work. I think that’s great because I have been involved with so much volunteer work over these past years and it’s really rewarding to do something for the community. (Especially if the work is creatvie!) Yeah, so Studio B also does animations for Nickeolodeon, Teletoon, Warner Bros and Disney to name a few, so of course all good companies to be connected too. I didn’t know that Vancouver had so many 3d studios, that’s excellent. I remember EA also came to speak to us at the beginning of my time at BCIT. That was fun. It was Halloween and one of the presenters dressed up in a costume. He was so funny too! They also brought candy to coax us…they are so badddd!
The one thing I did get out of their presentation was that if you were interested in working for EA, you can do an internship with them and then hopefully land yourself a job as a junior animator or modeler. That would be cool!
Ahhhh let’s see what else to say, mmmm…i think I may go downstairs to the Tim Horton’s now to refill my tea, (yeah right, like I need the extra caffine!) So I shall leave you with a couple of new art pieces…I’m not sure what I will put up yet as I still need to search through my piles of files! (it rhymes!) tee hee.
….5 min later…
okkie then, I see I have stored all my “Blog” files in my removable hard drive which is not with me at the moment so I shall return later with a page full of pics once I get my hands on that hard drive!
…24 hours later…ah hah! I found a pic of Princess Jasmine I was working on…it’s a work n progress….
Hello all!
Well, I just heard that Patrick Swayze has pancreatic cancer….awww that’s such a shame, my heart goes out to him. He seems like such an energetic guy and he was fabulous in “To Wong Foo”…he was such a proper lady
Hmmmm….just seems like that there is so many unfortunate things that happen these days, I suppose all we can do is just thank the greater powers for each day we get here. BLEH!
Sorry…I’m being all mushy here, time to talk about 3d Stuff! Oh! But before I do, I want to mention that the soundtrack to “Oblivion IV: The Elder Scrolls” is so fabulous! For anyone who is into epic musical scores, I recomend this video game soundtrack to you! The composer’s name is Jeremy Soule…he’s kind of hard to find but I think you can get his stuff from www.directsong.com.
Ahhhh ok, well enough of the advertising let’s get to the juicy stuff! (I promise)
In my design class we are learning about Zbrush. Oh yes. This software package is very very very cool . It pretty much just turns your models that you’ve worked on in MAYA or Softimage and dresses em up real nice
It’s such a cool program. I’ve only had one class in Zbrush so far, but I can tell it’s gonna be one of my favorite programs to work wit
Here are a few pic’s of a face model we worked with in Zbrush…enjoy!

PS…I will also upload the rest of my cookie-hunt story! Geez, you all are probably dying to find out how it ends!
Hello all!
I hope that everyone is having a jolly good day!
I just wanted to give everyone a head’s up regarding my Blog Titles. As you can probably tell, my previous Titles are very random and sometimes they have nothing to do with the material I’m talking about underneath… I mainly use odd Titles just to amuse myself, so if anyone has problems with this, please let me know! I still would like these Blog’s to be viewed as something important and relevant to my art and future career, but I would also like people to consider that I actually do have a personality and am not just some wallpaper drying over in the corner.
So, with no further ado…I give you to you, Part 2 of my multi-part story, “Cookie Hunt”. I actually am going to take a nap now and hopefully regain my power’s after my post-napping….and then go run around a track field until I fall asleep again!
Adios Amigos!
